The Challenge

Increase digital donations to support funding for new Lurie Children's Hospital in downtown Chicago. Lurie Children’s Hospital’s “TeamRaiser” digital fundraising sites were using Convio database and framework. Built on Tables rather than Divs, these sites were outdated and failed to meet user demands and web standards, especially on smaller screen sizes. User frustration was hampering fundraising efforts. Hired as a design specialist, I expanded my role from site management to a complete overhaul of the TeamRaiser process, design, user experience, and front end code, helping modernize Lurie Children’s digital fundraising and online donor community engagement.

TeamRaiser Personal Page
Updated personal page layout that leveraged CSS and Javascript to make the Convio table framework responsive on multiple screen sizes.

Fluid Email
In 2012 it was extremely difficult to create a stylized email that was fluid and accessible on all screen sizes. We tested the email in Litmus to make sure that it would degrade properly and still be accessible in all email readers . It was a tough nut to crack at the time.

Circle Of Friends
So many media queries! The updated TeamRaiser design working across all screen sizes. At the time it was a thing of beauty and a huge accomplishment that I am still proud of.
